MN06 - Ponti sul Mincio ring

A short circular path between river Mincio and the village of Ponti sul Mincio, whose profile is easily recognisable for the Castle. The origin of this fortress is unknown. It it thought to have been built in a time between the XII and the XIV centuries, and it is attributed to the Scaligeri, who built their defensive system here at the border with Visconti and Gonzaga land.

A detour is also available to visit Forte Ardietti. The return route to the starting point runs on the Mincio cycle path.
