MI01 - Parco Bertone

Itinerary connecting the Mincio cycle path and Parco Bertone, a romantic garden and reserve and former late XIX century residence of a noble Mantua family, the counts of D'Arco. By commission of Count Luigi D'Arco, the existing forest was expanded with several exotic species and fashioned according to the romantic park vague, featuring a range of different landscapes: forested hills, tree-lined paths, open meadows, decorative hedges, artificial ponds, majestic trees (including an imposing 270-year old black walnut and a bi-centennial, 40-meter Gingko Biloba, considered the tallest in the whole country).
